3 days as a Latvian manor mistress

What would it be like if I were… For example, a real Latvian manor mistress?

My name is Nora Poiša, and I am the owner of Lielborne Manor. I invite you to my home to spend 3 days at Lielborne Manor, chatting over dinner, cooking in the manor cellar, exploring history, having fun and creating landscape views. We will go outside together, as well as work indoors. For some, this will be an opportunity to take a look at the life in nowadays manor, for others to realize the extent of the challenge in order to accept their own, for others a new recipe, for others a completely different start to the year.

Your own manor, your flower meadow, your fresh eggs laid every morning, breakfast coffee on the manor balcony, dinner at a beautifully set table. It sounds idyllic 🙂 Come and see and spend three unforgettable days with the real Latvian mistress Nora!

Tuesday

3:00 PM – 5:30 PM     Arrival. Transfer from Daugavpils station (train from Riga at 1:00 PM)

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM   Dinner, getting to know each other

Wednesday

Up to 8:30 AM              Morning exercise/walk (with a snow shovel or skis, if  you’re lucky)

8:30 AM – 10:00 AM    Breakfast. Each will cook fried eggs in black bread with mozzarella cheese.

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM   Preparing marinade and BBQ glaze, marinating ribs.

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM      Informative walk along the park paths, picking vegetables in the snow.

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM      Lunch, free time

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM      Afternoon tea. Exploring the Riga porcelain and Latgale Culinary Heritage, my family’s heritage – waffles.

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM    Dinner.

Thursday

Up to 8:30 AM              Morning exercise/walk (with a snow shovel or skis, if you’re lucky)

8:30 AM – 10:30 AM    Breakfast. We will prepare Benedict’s eggs with potato croquettes and hollandaise sauce.

From 11:00 AM             Aerobic workout: creating a park landscape (fire pit, collecting branches).

2:00 PM – 3:30 PM      Lunch, free time

3:30 PM – 5:30 PM      Glass mosaic workshop with Elvīra Škutāne (Master craftsman 2023)

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM    Dinner. Of course, also the jointly cooked ribs!

Friday

Up to 8:30 AM              Morning exercise/walk (with a snow shovel or skis, if you’re lucky)

8:30 AM – 10:00 AM   Breakfast. We will bake manor thin pancakes.

Until 12:00 PM             Departure. Transfer to Daugavpils station.

Price per person:

• In a single room: €440
• In a double room: €410
• In a double room, single occupancy: €500
• With friend in apartments: €500

Price includes: transfer from/to Daugavpils station, program activities with the lady and the real Latvian hostess Nora Poiša, 3 nights in the chosen room, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 three-course dinners with manor beer, wine and brandy tasting, recipes for the dishes cooked together, glass mosaic workshop.
